Based in Dallas (TX), Serif Art was created by artist and designer, David Caulkins.
What started as some late night letter sketching, turned into a 12-month deep-dive into letters, typefaces, fonts, characters, and the beautiful little flourishes known as serifs.
The result? A custom-designed typeface that is the foundation for the unique designs you see on this site. Each word and phrase is compiled one character at a time - sometimes going through more than a dozen drafts before the final arrangement and balance is decided.
It's been an incredible journey thus far and we're excited to continue exploring the possibilities of serif design.
